Prayers of the Faithful for March 29 & 30, 2014
The 4th Sunday of Lent
Our God makes the blind to see and the lame to walk.
We pray for our RCIA Candidates who are preparing for the Easter Sacraments of Confirmation and Eucharist. For all Catechumens and Candidates everywhere, we pray:
That we may open our hearts to God and acknowledge Jesus as the source of light and the witness of truth, we pray:
For the very poor and for those who have too much. For wisdom as we seek a just world where all are valued as children of God, we pray:
That we who are faced with the values of the world may remain faithful to the spirit of the Gospel, we pray:
We pray for those who are ill and have asked for our prayers especially Tom Berg, Stan Hartung, may all who are experiencing the darkness of suffering find healing through the power of Christ, the Light of the World, we pray:
We pray for those who have died and for their families, especially, Walter Eiker, the husband of Paula Eiker; Pauline Baillet, the wife of Jim Baillet. May all who have seen the darkness of death now know the light of the resurrection; we pray:
God, you are the light in our darkness. Shine on us today and hear our sincere prayers for your world. Give us the eyes to see your presence among us and hearts to welcome you in each person we meet. We pray always in Jesus’ name. Amen.
