Jesus commands us to love as he has been loved. Let us pray to be faithful to this command.
That God will guide the church in examining how we have failed one another and lead us to new steps of living and speaking the truth, we pray:
That God will free us from old attachments and help us follow the movement of the Spirit into new relationships and new forms of service to better serve God today, we pray:
That those who strive to manifest a New Heavens and a New Earth, particularly those who fight poverty, hunger, homelessness or who work to assist the elderly and the homebound: will reflect God’s light and love through their service and be a sign of hope to all, we pray:
That God will guide us in deepening our relationships, encouraging one another along life’s journey, and caring for one another as we face hardships, we pray:
That each of us grow in faithful discipleship by encountering more fully the risen Christ in our daily living, we pray:
That those who are ill and have asked for our prayers, including Andrew Joseph Ebert, Susan Swanton, Mary Jane Franzen, may feel Christ’s healing touch, we pray:
That all who mourn the death of a loved one, especially, George Ocel, the brother of Sam Ocel; may find comfort in the joy of Jesus’ resurrection, we pray:
Loving God, you always hear our prayers and grant our needs. Help us to take up your son’s command to love so that our world might reflect more fully your glory. We ask this through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
