This year, the Center for Mission has assigned the Maryknoll Lay Missioners (MKLM) for our annual Mission Appeal. MKLM is the largest Catholic lay mission sending community in the US, representing laity in global mission.
Because of the corona virus, which has caused limited participation at Mass, we have decided to promote the mission of MKLM in a virtual process. Father Bill Vos, who spent almost 20 years with the Maryknoll Lay Missioners in Eastern Africa, has prepared a video homily for us to use next Sunday on the 19th Sunday of Ordinary Time. Click this YouTube link to watch Fr. Bill’s video.
For those of you who are not able to attend Mass, you can view the video and make your mission donation as Father Vos indicates, namely by writing a check to Risen Savior with Mission Appeal in the memo section, or simply bring your mission donation to the parish office during office hours. You can also donate directly online at MKLM.ORG.
This once-a-year opportunity is a wonderful way for all of us to participate in the ongoing global mission to bring the Good News of Jesus Christ to the ends of the earth!
Thank you for your participation and support!
