Prayers of the Faithful June 19 & 20, 2021
Presider:
We now present our many needs and concerns to God, whose love is everlasting.
Lector:
- For the Church: that by God’s grace, we may live as new creations, no longer living for ourselves but for Christ, we pray:
- For a calming of the storms in our lives: that God will sustain us through the challenges of each day, give us the courage to make decisions, and enduring hope when we cannot foresee tomorrow, we pray:
- For Fr. Tom Krenik as he retires following 10 years of faithful service here Risen Savior community; that God may bless him with good health, a smooth transition into this next chapter of his life as well as a keen awareness of the gratitude felt by the Risen Savior faith community, we pray:
- For all fathers and those who have shown the Father’s love to us: that God will make them beacons of light, sources of encouragement and grant them peace and health, we pray:
- For those who are ill and have asked for our prayers, especially, Carol Stramowski, Cliff Drenttel, Mark Juenemann, and Maria Brass – mother of Marianne Brass may they find healing, strength, and peace of mind through God’s love, we pray:
- For those who have died, especially Paul Pfeifer and Brenda De Leon, sister of Nalleli Renteria De Leon; may they be forever held in the loving arms of God, we pray:
Presider: Redeeming God, uphold us in the love of Christ that we may venture on the wider sea that leads to the glory of your reign, where Jesus is Lord forever and ever. Amen
