Prayers of the Faithful March 12 & 13, 2022
Presider:
We who seek a deeper relationship with Jesus pray now for all our needs and the needs of the world.
Reader:
- For the Church: that we may listen with both our minds and hearts to God’s beloved Son and be transformed by his words, we pray:
- For the Risen Savior community: that God will bless our Lenten journey as we live our vocations and use our resources to continue the mission of Jesus
- For refugees from Ukraine: that God will guide them to places of safety, help them to find welcome and new homes, and open the hearts of many to provide the resources that they need, we pray:
- For a deepening of hope: that even though negative and doubting messages abound in our society, we may be confident that God will never abandon us, we pray:
- For our Sister Parish community in Gris-Gris Haiti that God will aid the human endeavor to secure for them reliable sources of water and food and protect them from the kidnappings and gang violence that are so prevalent in their country, we pray:
- For our own volunteers on the Sister Parish committee, that they may soon be able to safely resume their ministry in person in Gris Gris, we pray:
- We pray for those who are ill and have asked for our prayers, including Michael Swanton, Corrine Garness, Tom Moga, son-in-law of John and Lorraine Czek and Elle Muchow, granddaughter of Darlene Ivy …we pray:
- For those who have died, that they may find joy in the resurrection…we pray:
Presider:
Loving God, your divine Son shines with the radiance of your glory. Hear our prayers that one day we might share fully in that same glory. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.
