Prayers of the Faithful May 13 & 14, 2023
Presider:
Our Lord Jesus promised us that God would send us the Holy Spirit to guide us and to speak for us as we pray for the needs of the world.
Reader:
- For the Church: that we may grow in our awareness that Christ is in us and see the hand of God in the people, the events in our lives and in the created world around us, we pray:
- For the renewal of God’s Spirit in our hearts: that God will stir up into a flame the gift of the Spirit so that we may build up the Body of Christ and bring forth God’s reign in the world, we pray:
- For all mothers and for those who have shown us a mother’s love: that God will bless them with health, happiness, and peace of heart, we pray:
- For greater respect for God’s creation: that we may recognize our interdependence with the created world and work to preserve the balance in nature that God has established, we pray:
- That those who are ill and have asked for our prayers, find healing, including Loretta Kelly, Cameron Howard Wendell, Grace Koleczek), Kathy Fastner, Douglas Solberg, and Michelle Groff, we pray:
- For those who have died, especially Peter Hayes, brother of Kathy Fastner, and Richard Ulrich, brother of Taum Ulrich. May all who have died be forever held in the loving arms of God, we pray:

Good and gracious God, your Holy Spirit speaks for us. Grant what our Advocate inspires us to ask for in the name of Jesus, the Risen Christ our Lord.
