Pilgrimage to “Angels Unawares”

Join our parish in an afternoon and evening of prayer & reflection around the issues related to migrants and refugees.
Even if you cannot make the entire event, we encourage you to join for part! This is a family-friendly event that parents/caregivers can choose to adapt for their children (with ideas for adaptation provided). Pilgrims will meet at Risen Savior at 3:00p.m. to ride together via bus and return back to the parish for shared supper. Scroll down for a full schedule and registration. (Those who cannot come the entire time are still very much welcome; however, they will need to find their own transportation.)
Schedule for the Pilgrimage
3:00p.m. Arrive at Risen Savior
3:30p.m. Depart Risen Savior for the Basilica of St. Mary
–Click here for parking options (these will be distributed the day of as well)
–Pilgrims will be given materials to think about and pray about on their way
4:30p.m. Arrival at sculpture and orientation
4:45-5:30p.m. Time for individual processing and reflection
–Pilgrims will be provided suggested materials to help them engage with the sculpture individually
5:30-6:30p.m. Participate in prayer led by the Sculpture’s Hosts (Lumen Christi Catholic Church & Gloria Dei Lutheran Church)
6:45p.m. Depart the Basilica to return to Risen Savior
7:15p.m.: Dinner and table discussions at Risen Savior
8:15p.m.: Closing prayer and sending forth

The Basilica of St. Mary (Minneapolis) will host the sculpture throughout the month of August, so if you are unable to join our parish pilgrimage, you can always find time to visit on your own!
