Preschool and Elementary
Preschool and Kindergarten
Little ones age three through kindergarten are invited to register for our Sunday School classes during 9:00 Sunday Mass. In the summer, we offer Vacation Bible School for children in preschool through Grade 5.

Elementary Grades 1-5
Children in Grades 1-4, along with their parents, learn together in our GIFT Family Program. In grade 2 or later, children can prepare for First Reconciliation and First Eucharist (Communion). Children in grades 1-3 are also welcome to attend Liturgy of the Word for Children during the 9:00 Sunday Mass, while grade 4 and up can serve as altar servers. Our Grade 5 Faith Formation program is on Wednesday evenings from 6-7:30 PM.In the summer, we offer Vacation Bible School for children in Preschool through Grade 5.

Middle School and High School
Middle School Grades 6-8
Youth in grades 6-8 meet in classes led by volunteer catechists two Wednesdays a month. 6th grade focuses on the person of Jesus Christ; 7th grade focuses on the Liturgy and the Seven Sacraments; 8th grade focuses on Christian Morality and Prayer. Youth in grades 6-8 will also meet in a large group setting four times throughout the year with our Youth Ministers to spend time in worship, learning, service and fun.

High School Grades 9-12
Our High school program focuses on preparing for the Sacrament of Confirmation. This preparation involves a two year process that can begin as early as the 9th grade.
Year 1 of Confirmation includes large group and small group sessions using Loyola Press’ “Called to be Catholic.” Throughout the year the teens will relook at the basic teachings and understandings of the Catholic Church and they will have two guest speakers who will help to challenge them to grow in their faith. The teens will be required to do 10 hours of community service, attend Sanctuary (Our youth Group) 5 times and perform a Liturgical Ministry role one time. They will also be required to attend a one day retreat held here at Risen Savior. This program can be started in 9-11 grades
Year 2 of Confirmation includes large group and small group sessions using Loyola Press’ “Confirmed in the Spirit.” This program invites, welcomes, and nurtures young Catholics as they grow in faith, and though the power of the Holy Spirit, embrace their role as mature, faithful disciples of Jesus Christ. The teens will listen to two guest speakers who will help to challenge them to grow in their faith along with the following requirements: The teens will be required to do 20 hours of community service, attend Sanctuary (Our youth Group) 5 times and perform a Liturgical Ministry role one time. They will also be required to attend a weekend retreat held Camp Courage and led by our wonderful Youth Ministry team. This program can be started in 10-12 grades after the completion of Year 1 Confirmation.

Risen Savior seeks to be a welcoming, nourishing, and engaging environment for all people to grow in their faith. Adult Faith Formation provides opportunities for adults to continue their journey with God through prayer, study, and action by integrating the wisdom of their lived experiences with their identities as disciples of Christ.
