Required Parent Informational Meeting
There is an informational meeting for parents of mission trip participants. This meeting will be held on a Monday January 29th from 7-8:30 pm.
We cover several important topics that are important for all parents to know. You will also get an opportunity to ask questions and make suggestions.
Friends are invited to join us for this mission trip. They do not have to attend Risen Savior. They do still need to be in the 9-12th grade in the 2017-2018 school year however.
There will be between 4-6 adult leaders on this mission trip. We are always welcoming new adults to help with our mission trips. If you are interested or know someone who may be interested please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
About The Work We'll Be Doing
Serve through painting, cleaning, yard work or other simple work projects. Plan and facilitate sports-based programming for community youth. Plan and lead kids programming for children in the community, including Bible lessons, games, crafts and reading. Most students will serve at each service site during part of the week. Those who serve with the sports program will remain all week.
Expectations Prior to the Trip
Youth are expected to be active in faith growing activities as they prepare for the mission trip. This includes attending Sanctuary regularly to grow as a community.
Transportation & Housing
We will make the trip by rental vans and will be staying at a school or church during the week & at a hotel the last night of the trip.
Evening Activities and Outings
In the evenings, you will experience a variety of cultural sites including eating a meal with community members. I'll update this section when I get more details about evening cultural activities. On the way home our current plan is to stop in Branson, MO for an evening of fun.
Can I reserve a spot without paying the deposit?
No, space is reserved on the full application is turned in and the deposit paid. If there is a financial burden, contact Travis and arrangements can be made.
Does work count as an excused absence for meetings?
NO! Please plan your schedule around meetings and fundraisers.
