Fr. Tom Krenik
Pastor
(952) 698-1710
My ministry as pastor of the Church of the Risen Savior has three interrelated dimensions: first, presiding at the celebration of the Eucharist and other sacraments and liturgies in the church; second, time spent in the office and meeting rooms for administrative matters, meetings with staff members, appointments with parishioners, and leading or teaching various programs; third, time spent “off-campus” for the sacrament of anointing in homes, Ridges hospital, and in senior residence buildings, Mass at Augustana Care Center, archdiocesan meetings, deanery meetings, and homily preparation.

P. Tomasito – Fr. Thomas Margevicius
Associate Pastor Latino Ministry
(952) 698-1731
I was born 1961 in Cleveland, Ohio of immigrant parents: mother from Germany, father from Lithuania.
After receiving a BS in Wildlife Management from West Virginia University and working for the DNR (Department of Natural Resources) as an Interpretive Naturalist in the Ohio State Parks, I came to Minnesota to serve with NET (National Evangelization Teams) ministries and SPO (St. Paul’s Outreach). I eventually joined the Companions of Christ, a local community of diocesan priests, entered the Seminary, and was ordained in 1999 with an MA in scripture.
My first two years as a priest were at Nativity of Our Lord in St. Paul, then St. John the Baptist in Dayton, MN. I was assigned to the St. Paul Seminary in 2003 and achieved both an STL (Sacred Theology) and Doctor of Ministry degree from Catholic University of America in Washington, DC.
I taught Liturgical Theology and Homiletics for 17 years. In 2018 Archbishop Hebda appointed me Director of the Archdiocesan Office of Worship — a position he holds part-time today — and has celebrated the Mass in 7 languages, including Spanish and American Sign Language. I live with my fellow Companions of Christ in the rectory of St. John the Baptist in Savage.
As hobbies I enjoy playing guitar, birdwatching, and a hearty Imperial Stout while puffing a robust cigar.

Marianne Brass
Communications & Community Life Coordinator, Bulletin Editor, SEC (Safe Environment Coordinator)
(952) 698-1714
I have been a parishioner at Risen Savior since 1993; I joined the Risen Savior staff in 1999.
I am the Communications & Community Life Coordinator. This job is the perfect combination of creativity and involvement with Risen Savior parishioners. I love working with many different groups and volunteers; it gives me energy.
Risen Savior is a great place to work and a wonderful place for worship!

Ryan Currens
Interim Parish Administrator, part-time
Ryan comes to us with prior parish administration experience at Assumption Catholic Church in Richfield. He has a M.A. in Administration from the University of St. Thomas and prior to parish administration worked in the field of industrial safety with DuPont and as a firefighter and emergency manager for the Tama County government in Iowa.
Ryan and his wife, Meg, live in Burnsville with their three sons, Jimmy, Charlie and Johnny.

Carmen Dean
Pastoral Associate for Latino Ministry
(952) 698-1716
Since June 2004 I had the privilege to work with The Latino Ministry of our Parish.
Being part of the staff of the Parish has given me tremendous growth and understanding to build community and learning to work together for the good of the community.
One of the most powerful experiences of my life is being diagnosed with breast cancer in 2011. It was a very painful period, but I thank God for putting me in this community, which helped me and gave me the courage and strength to fight and succeed. To this date I am happy to have been declared: “Cancer Survivor”.
My eternal gratitude to God and to you for all your support and love, “Thank you!”

I come to Risen Savior with a professional background in pastoral ministry and spiritual care as well as personal and volunteer work in retreats and social justice/faith-based immersion experiences. I received my B.A. in Religion and Spanish from Augustana College and my M.Div. from Boston College School of Theology and Ministry. Apart from ministry, I love to eat ice cream, spend time with family and friends, and hang out with my dog Tali. I am honored to serve on staff here and journey with the community as we strive to open our doors to all, embrace the call to love and serve, and celebrate the reality of our Risen Savior!

Rae Ann Konkol
Director of Secondary Faith Formation & Youth Ministry
(952) 698-1727
I have been the Secondary Faith Formation Coordinator at Risen Savior since August of 2015. I come to Rise Savior with over twenty five years of experience in Faith Formation, having worked in the Winona and St. Cloud Dioceses, and the Archdiocese of Milwaukee.
I have a BA in Religion and Sociology from St. Olaf College and a MA in Pastoral Ministry from St. John’s University in Collegeville, MN. My favorite part of ministry with teens is seeing students realize how much God loves them and they can share that love with others. I look forward to ministering with the teens of Risen Savior and helping them grow in their relationship with God.
I have been married to my husband, Jeff, since 1995. We have two wonderful sons, Greg and Stephen. In my spare time I love to read, do crossword puzzles and camp with my family.

Nalleli Renteria
Administrative Assistant & Latino Faith Formation
(952) 698-1713
I am 31 years old, I’m married and have 3 kids, two girls and a boy. I was born in Guadalajara, Mexico. My parents brought me to the United States when I was 9 years old. I have been serving God for 2 years, one year as a catechist for Spanish & English speaking Faith Formation. I am glad that I can work for both communities, and act as a bridge between both, especially in my new role as Administrative Assistant for Risen Savior.

Kevin Rotty
Director of Music and Liturgy
(952) 698-1728
I have been involved in church music since I learned to play the guitar in the mid 1970’s. I got my start in doing church music for a living in 1999 and have been at Risen Savior since 2005.
Along with the joy of doing music for liturgies, I have had the privilege to produce and direct numerous musical concerts and productions here at Risen Savior.
Over the last 30 years, I have worked regionally, nationally and internationally in professional theatre as a musical director, composer and performer. Since 2004, I have done over 2,500 dueling pianos performances at various venues and most recently for my own company Sweet Keys Dueling Pianos.
As an educator, I have served as Voice Faculty at MacPhail Center for Music, as Voice Department Chair for McNally Smith College of Music, as well as a Music Specialist in Apple Valley and Wayzata school districts.
My wife Jennifer and I have been married since 1993 and have 2 fantastic daughters.
I also hold the de facto title of “Parish Bouncer” … but that’s a story for another time…

Chris Sorensen
Pastoral Minister
(952) 698-1722
As you will note when you hear my accent I am a native of Massachusetts but have lived in Minnesota since 1989. I have been serving in Pastoral Ministry for 28 years, and on the staff of Risen Savior since 2012. My joy is being the mother of 2 daughters and one son and the grandmother of four amazing grandchildren. I love to read, and my soul’s home is at the Atlantic Ocean where the presence of our God is palpable.
It is an honor and a blessing for me to be the Pastoral Minister at Risen Savior. I witness the love and compassion of our God on a daily basis through this ministry of outreach and presence. I am constantly reminded of the beauty of God’s people.
