Service & Outreach
An urgent note from Risen Savior community partner, 360 Communities:
Community Partners,
If the federal government shutdown continues past tomorrow, SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) recipients will not receive their November benefits. This will deeply affect thousands of the most vulnerable families in our community, especially children, seniors, and people with disabilities.
In Minnesota, 440,000 people rely on SNAP each month. Food shelves, including 360 Communities, are already seeing record need. We’re booked 5–6 weeks out for food shelf appointments, and demand continues to grow with increasing walk-ins for emergency bags. For every meal a food shelf provides, SNAP provides nine. We can’t fill this gap alone, and food shelves can’t distribute their way out of this crisis as a long-term solution, but together we can ease the impact now in the short-term.
Here’s how you, your faith community, your neighborhood, your business, or club can help:
- Give financially. Your donation allows us to buy food at 7.5 times the value through our relationships with Second Harvest Heartland.
- Donate non-perishable items or run a food drive for items we can pack into emergency bags.
- Pre-pack emergency food bags (see list below) and drop them off at our Burnsville (501 State Hwy 13 #112, Burnsville, MN 55337) or Rosemount (14521 Cimarron Ave W, Rosemount, MN 55068) locations. This saves our volunteers valuable time.
- Donate grocery gift cards for families in immediate need that our staff can distribute who are working in schools and other community-based locations. Drop off or mail to:
360 Communities, 501 E Hwy 13, Suite 112, Burnsville, MN 55337
Visit 360Communities.org for donation details and our current list of most-needed items.

- 1 jar peanut butter
- 1 jar jelly
- 1 bag/box pasta
- 1 jar/can pasta sauce
- 1 bag white rice
- 1 bag oatmeal or cereal
- 1 bag dried fruit
Thank you for your continued generosity. In every crisis, our community steps up, and we’re grateful for your support once again.
Gratefully, your 360 Communities Team
