A social evening for women to enjoy friendship and food in preparation for the holidays!

 

The bible teaches us in Hebrews 10:24 not to neglect gathering together.

We paused last year, but our hearts told us that this wonderful event needed to return as it is a way for us to fulfill God's desire and design to be social and to connect with one another.

Please gather with us at the Holiday Pause on November 8, 2024. Experience for yourself how gathering as a community of women in a beautiful environment nourishes us and benefits our spiritual growth just before the Advent and Christmas season begins. It refreshes our souls, encourages, empowers, and helps us walk together, accompany each other, on a more joyful and meaningful journey to the Lord.

To make the Women's Holiday Pause event more accessible to more women and to reduce the participation cost, this year's Women's Holiday Pause will be held at Risen Savior!

Join us here at Risen Savior for a festive evening celebrating holidays of many seasons in a beautiful environment created especially for you! The evening begins with a welcome reception and seasonal liquid refreshments in the Commons. Guests then proceed downstairs to immerse themselves into the beauty of the numerous traditional . . . and not so traditional . . . holidays. Feast your eyes on the creative table settings lovingly prepared for you by the table hostesses.

Then, sit down to a delicious dinner catered by HyVee.

The cost for the evening is $30/person.

Sign-ups will be held in person only before and after Masses the weekends of October 5/6 and 12/13, 2024.

 

To make this evening a success, we rely on ladies to host the tables. We are currently recruiting hostesses. Do you love to entertain and decorate? This may be for you! Take a look at the "Hostess Job Description" to get a better idea what the hostess job entails.
