The shooting at Annunciation Catholic Church and School has been a devastating blow to our local community. We pray for the repose of souls of the children whose lives were lost and for everyone who has been affected by this tragedy. This Friday, August 29, we will offer our 9:00 a.m. Mass in the sanctuary for these victims, their families, and all those who have been touched by this horrific event. Following Mass we will have Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament. Please, as you are able, come and offer your prayers! We will conclude with a Holy Hour at 6:00 p.m. in Spanish. The intention for the Rosary will also be for the victims.

The Annunciation Hope and Healing Fund, established by the Catholic Community Foundation of Minnesota (CCF), was created in response to the tragic shooting during the school Mass on Wednesday, August 27, 2025. Your donation to the fund will provide financial support to the Church of the Annunciation for the needs of the church and school and to provide support to those affected by the tragedy. FROM FR. MATTHEW:

Friends, peace and all good! The horrific events of this week at Annunciation Catholic Church and School have devastated our entire community. We continue to pray for all those affected by this tragedy. We also pray for the repose of the souls of Fletcher Merkel, 8, and Harper Moyski, 10. In the wake of this, many are wondering how they can answer the questions raised by our children and help them to cope with returning to school. Below are links to some resources that can be vital to this process. Please read these and share them with others. Also, the advice for children can also be of great help to adults.
