We want to emphasize that SALT is solely utilizing the facilities of Grace Lutheran Church for the purpose of hosting the program. SALT remains an independent, interfaith non-profit organization with no specific religious affiliations.

For 29 years, the SALT program has been dedicated to providing enriching learning opportunities for adults aged 55 and over. This fall, we are excited to offer four engaging Monday mornings featuring insightful presentations from a diverse range of distinguished speakers. This season, the SALT program will be hosted again at Grace Lutheran Church, 7800 West County Road 42, Apple Valley, MN 55124. This venue has been selected to ensure an enhanced and comfortable learning environment that thoughtfully accommodates the needs of our SALT participants.

Our program is crafted to explore a wide spectrum of topics designed to pique your interest and deepen your understanding. Sessions will delve into subjects spanning from the wonders of the natural world and historical events to religious insights and personal narratives. Our distinguished speakers possess extensive experience and expertise, guaranteeing that each topic is presented with both depth and clarity. Whether your goal is to broaden your global perspective, participate in stimulating dialogues, or simply enjoy the camaraderie of peers, the SALT program offers an exceptional pathway for your autumn intellectual pursuits. The cost for the SALT sessions is $10 per person per Monday.

BUY THREE - GET ONE FREE!! We are offering a “Season Pass” for $30 per person, which covers all four SALT Mondays. You purchase the “Season Pass” at the first SALT session of the season for $30/person, and you are good to go for the following three Mondays. No refunds for missed sessions.

For all newcomers, here’s what the SALT schedule looks like each Monday:

  • 9:30-10:30 a.m.: first two programs (one in the worship space/Sanctuary, one in the hall).
  • 10:30-11:00 a.m.: coffee/cookie break in the lobby and in the narthex.
  • 11:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. (Noon): second two programs (one in the worship space/Sanctuary, one in the hall).

Discover enriching learning opportunities with SALT (Seniors Learning Together, Inc.), a non-profit corporation dedicated to providing engaging educational experiences. While primarily serving individuals over 55 and sponsored by a coalition of churches in Dakota County, our program warmly welcomes participants of all ages.

SALT offers stimulating sessions held on four consecutive Mondays each Spring and Fall. We strive to cater to diverse interests by scheduling four distinct presentations on various subjects each day, with two speakers per hour. Participants have the flexibility to choose one session to attend during each hour. The first session runs from 9:30-10:30 a.m., followed by a 30-minute refreshment break. The second session then takes place from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

SALT is designed to make enrichment learning both enjoyable and accessible. Our life enrichment presentations are offered in an engaging format, free from the pressure of questions or tests. It is simply an opportunity to expand your understanding of the world around us.
