Meals on Wheels

Meals on Wheels logo, Apple Valley, Burnsville.

Meals on Wheels is a community-based service that provides fresh, nutritious meals delivered directly to the homes of seniors and individuals with disabilities throughout the Twin Cities. In addition to regularly providing healthy foods, caring volunteers provide social connection that helps meal recipients remain living independently in their own homes.

Risen Savior provides volunteers to our local Meals on Wheels to staff 1 route of deliveries. Volunteers pick up the meals for their route (about 10-15 stops) at 10:40am from Faith Covenant Church (12921 Nicollet Ave, Burnsville), where they also receive a route book with a list of recipients' addresses and directions from house to house. Typically, volunteers are finished with their route by 12pm.
