Prayers of the Faithful for June 27 & 28, 2020

Presider: Let us pray that all invited by Christ to follow him may hear and respond to his call.

Lector:

  • For the Church: that we who have died with Christ in baptism, may recognize our dignity in being children of God, and sisters and brothers to one another, we pray:
  • For wisdom: that we may embrace the paradox that our efforts to control life produces no results while surrendering to God will provide abundant life, we pray:
  • For the grace of hospitality: that we may welcome all who enter our lives as we would welcome Christ with great love and generously sharing our time and talents with them, we pray:
  • For inspiration: that God will guide legislators and policymakers in developing new structures and procedures for police and law enforcement officials to fulfill their responsibilities more effectively, we pray:
  • For all youth: that God will guide them through the challenges and confusion of these days and help them grow to the fullest potential, we pray:
  • For those who are ill and have asked for our prayers including Wendy Wexler, Kara Oettinger, Elaine Tolsma, Marilyn Jane Mauritz and Elsa and Donald Franzen, May they find comfort in the healing touch of God and by the loving care of family and friends, we pray:
  • For all who mourn the death of a loved one, especially Duane Fossum, father of Kevin Fossum

May all who have died be forever held in the loving arms of God, we pray:
