Prayers of the Faithful for July 13 & 14, 2019

Presider:

Our God is compassionate and merciful and so surely hears the prayers of those who cry out in need.

Lector:

For the Church: that God will help us be signs of God’s presence through our deeds of loving service and our compassion for all who are in need, we pray:

For insight: that God will help us recognize our neighbor in the refugee, the homeless person, and in the members of other cultures, and inspire us in responding to their needs today, we pray:

For the grace of humility: that God will help us to honestly acknowledge our strengths and weaknesses and place all of them at the service of God and neighbor, we pray:

For all who care for those in need, particularly those working in outreach programs through Risen Savior, including Loaves and Fishes, Feed My Sheep, Habitat for Humanity, Sister Parish, Respect Life Committee, and the Burnsville Food Shelf. May God strengthen them so that they may continue to bring God’s love and compassion to those whom they serve, we pray:

For a growth in respect in civic dialogue: that political leaders may listen to opposing views, respect the dignity of those with different ideas, and strive to find a path that will promote the welfare of all, we pray:

For those who are ill and have asked for our prayers including, Paul Hufnagle, Don Tuffley, and Helene Savela, and for all who are suffering in body, mind, and spirit, we pray:

For all who mourn the death of a loved one especially Noel Beaudette, the husband of Ida Beaudette. May all who have died be forever held in the loving arms of God, we pray:

Presider:

Loving God, you hear the prayers of those who cry out to you. Grant our prayers, strengthen us in our love, and lead us to enjoy eternal life with you. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.
