Prayers of the Faithful for June 29 & 30, 2019

Presider:

As we struggle to be faithful to our own calling, let us pray for ourselves and for the many needs of people throughout the world.

Lector:

For the church: that we may stay faithful to the challenging call of discipleship, we pray:

For all who work for and promote peace and true security across the world, we pray:

For all who are making a journey, particularly pilgrims, refugees, and our youth on their mission trip: that God will guide and protect them on their journey and lead them to new discoveries about themselves and God’s love for them, we pray:

For missionaries, and all those who spread the Gospel, may they receive adequate resources for their acts of mercy: providing food, shelter, and spiritual comfort for those throughout the world, we pray:

For the grace of unity: that all Christians may find healing for past wounds and new hope through the Spirit of God to work together for God’s glory, we pray:

For those who are ill and have asked for our prayers including, Randy Bedard, Paul Hufnagel, and Don Tuffley, and for all who are suffering in body, mind, and spirit, we pray:

For all who mourn the death of a loved one especially Susan Swanton, the wife of Michael Swanton, and Mary Jane Franzen, the wife of Ken Franzen. May all who have died be forever held in the loving arms of God, we pray:

Presider:

God who guides us, let us not forget that you are with us as we struggle on our journey with Jesus. Help us to focus on what is most important, and allay our confusion, doubts and fears. We pray this in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.
