Prayers of the Faithful for June 15 & 16, 2019

Presider:  

In confidence we pray for our needs to the Triune God who chooses to share divine life with us.

Lector:

For unity in the Church: that we may recognize our call to be children of God, be united in communion through the Holy Spirit, and for the children who are baptized today as they begin their Christian journey of faith, we pray:

For unity in our world: that God will bring new courage to leaders of nations in working for peace and ending injustice, we pray:

For unity in our community: that we may appreciate the wonder of each person and work together to address the needs and longings of all who enter our lives, we pray:

For unity in our families: that the love which is the Trinity may strengthen and renew each of us and deepen our love for one another, we pray:

For all fathers and stepfathers; grandfathers and godfathers; for all men who serve and nurture young people; for their strength and tenderness, courage and wisdom, generosity and faithfulness, we pray:

For unity with God in each of our hearts: for openness to God’s love; that we may allow God to bring us into the life of the Trinity and to deepen a relationship with us, we pray:

For those who are ill and have asked for our prayers. May they find comfort in the healing touch of God and by the loving care of family and friends, we pray:

For all who mourn the death of a loved one especially Mary Johnson, the mother of Steve Johnson; Adam Soberski, the brother of Richard Soberski; and Marvin Welsch, the brother of Francis Welsch. May all who have died be forever held in the loving arms of God, we pray:

Gracious God, pour the Spirit of love into our hearts that we may be united to Christ and to each other in the bond of peace. We pray through our Lord, Jesus Christ. Amen
