Prayers of the Faithful for December 8 & 9, 2018

Presider:  

Hearing God’s call to salvation, we ask God now for the help we need to respond faithfully.

Lector:

For the Church: that we may make ready a way for the Lord and make a straight path for God in our hearts, within our families, and in our workplaces, we pray:

For a reawakening of our hearts: that we may embrace the vision that God offers for wholeness, reconciliation and new beginnings for all the human family, we pray:

For the grace of listening: that our hearts may be open to the Word of God as it comes to us and that our lives may be transformed by it, we pray:

For our Latino parishioners who this week celebrate the feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe as a sign of God’s promise, we pray:

For peace within families, on our city streets, in faith communities and amongst nations: that God will inspire all to respect the dignity of one another, we pray:

For those who are ill and have asked for our prayers, including, Tom Diger. May all who are ill find hope in the Lord’s coming, we pray:

For those who have died, and for those grieving the passing of a loved-one, we pray:

Presider:

Saving God, you are merciful and forgiving. Hear our prayers that we might be faithful in responding to your call to salvation and one day dwell with you in everlasting glory. We ask through Christ our Lord, Amen.
