The Sacrament of Healing
The Sacrament of Reconciliation is one of the most unique and beautiful aspects of Catholicism. Jesus Christ, in His abundant love and mercy, established the Sacrament of Confession, so that we as sinners can obtain forgiveness for our sins and reconcile with God and the Church. The sacrament “washes us clean,” and renews us in Christ.
Here at Risen Savior we live in the awareness that the Church is not a hotel for saints, but rather a hospital for sinners. Regardless of what you’ve done (or failed to do) recently, God is here for you. And he’s not leaving.
Confessions are held in the Confession Room in the Chapel.
SATURDAYS: 2:00 – 3:30 PM in English and Spanish
Returning to Grace Preparation Help
It’s been a while since my last confession. What if I don’t know where to go or what to do?
Don’t worry. Let the priest know if you haven’t been to Confession in a while or don’t remember what to say, and he’ll help guide you through the process. Reviewing the standard format and an Examination of Conscience is also helpful.

"Confession is an act of honesty and courage – an act of entrusting ourselves, beyond sin, to the mercy of a loving and forgiving God.”
— SAINT JOHN PAUL II
