Prayers of the Faithful – June 22 & 23, 2024
Presider:
As we gather in faith and trust in God’s enduring love and protection, let us bring our needs and the needs of the world before our Creator, confident that our prayers are heard and answered.
Lector:
- For the Church: That all members of the Church may find strength and reassurance in God’s power and presence, trusting Him to calm the storms in their lives, we pray to the Lord:
- For world leaders: That they may seek God’s wisdom and guidance in their decisions, fostering peace and justice in times of turmoil and uncertainty, we pray to the Lord:
- For those facing personal challenges: That individuals and families struggling with illness, financial hardship, or emotional distress may experience God’s comforting presence and find hope and support in their communities, we pray to the Lord
- For those affected by natural disasters: That those who have suffered from storms, floods, and other natural disasters may receive the aid they need and find solace in the assurance of God’s protection, we pray to the Lord:
- For the sick and suffering in our community, including: Don Kuhl, Laura Krause, Joyce Hauser, Lori Burns, and Rich and Mary Ehalt. For all who suffer, we pray to the Lord:
- Today we pray or our Beloved Dead, including Doramae Bolduc, Kathleen Chan, Keith Froelich, Peg Morgan, and Avis Reckinger. We also pray for those who have died more recently. May they find comfort in God’s love, we pray to the Lord:
Presider:
Heavenly Father, we trust in Your infinite love and mercy. Hear our prayers and grant us the grace to endure life’s storms with unwavering faith in Your divine protection. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.
