Prayers of the Faithful – July 13 & 14, 2024
Presider:
Gathered as one community in Christ, let us bring our prayers and petitions before our loving God, who hears the cries of the faithful and responds with compassion and mercy.
Lector:
- For the Church: that she may continue to be a beacon of hope and guidance for all people, leading them closer to the love and mercy of God. We pray to the Lord:
- For World Leaders: that they may govern with wisdom and compassion, promoting peace and justice for all, especially the marginalized and oppressed. We pray to the Lord:
- For Our Mission Trip Team: that God may bless and protect our mission trip team who departed this week, granting them strength and grace as they bring light and hope to those they serve. We pray to the Lord:
- For Those Affected by Extreme Weather: that they may find relief, support, and strength through our compassion and aid. May we also recognize and address the underlying causes of climate change, striving to be better stewards of God’s creation. We pray to the Lord:
- For the sick and suffering in our community, including: John Czeck (“zeck”), and Joanne Mosier. For all who suffer, we pray to the Lord:
- For those who have died, especially Patrick Montag, and Bonnie Berczyk, that God may welcome them to new eternal life and ease the loss of those who grieve their passing, we pray to the Lord:
Presider:
Heavenly Father, we trust in your love and mercy as we present these prayers before you. Grant us the grace to respond to your call with courage and compassion. We ask this through your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.Amen.
