Prayers of the Faithful – August 3 & 4, 2024
Presider:
As we reflect on today’s themes of transformation and trust in God’s provision, let us bring our prayers and petitions before the Lord with confidence and hope:
Lector:
- For the Church: That all members of the Church may embrace the call to spiritual renewal, shedding old ways and living as true reflections of Christ’s love and compassion. We pray to the Lord. Lord:
- For World Leaders: That they may seek God’s guidance in providing for the needs of their people, fostering justice, peace, and compassion in our world. We pray to the Lord:
- For an End to Violence in the Middle East: That peace may prevail and that all people in the region may live in safety and harmony, guided by God’s love and wisdom. We pray to the Lord:
- For Those in Need: That those who are struggling with poverty, hunger, and uncertainty may find comfort and provision through the generosity and support of others, trusting in God’s faithfulness. We pray to the Lord:
- For the sick and suffering in our community. For all who suffer, we pray to the Lord:
- For those who have died, especially Donald Kuhl. That God may welcome them to new eternal life and ease the loss of those who grieve their passing, we pray to the Lord:
Presider:
God of blessings, we offer these prayers with trust in Your loving providence. Transform our hearts and lives, that we may always seek and reflect Your grace.
We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.
