Prayers of the Faithful – October 5 & 6, 2024
Presider:
Confident in God’s loving care, let us present our prayers and petitions for the needs of the Church and the world.
Lector:
- For the Church, that she may faithfully proclaim God’s love and truth, guiding all people toward unity and peace. We pray to the Lord:
- For married couples and families, that they may be strengthened in love and faithfulness, reflecting God’s covenant love in the world. We pray to the Lord:
- For those who are separated or divorced, or whose marriages are troubled; may we offer Christian love and support to them, we pray to the Lord:
- For peace in the Middle East, especially for those suffering from violence and conflict. May world leaders seek pathways to justice and reconciliation, and may all hearts be moved to embrace peace, dialogue, and the dignity of every person. We pray to the Lord:
- For those who are ill and have asked for our prayers, including Donna Kuhn, and Eric Mattheison; May all who suffer be healed by God’s loving touch and by the prayers of this community, we pray to the Lord:
- For those who have died, that they may rest in the eternal peace of Christ, we pray to the Lord:
Presider:
Heavenly Father, hear the prayers we offer today with faith and trust. Grant us the grace to live according to your will, through Christ our Lord. Amen.
