Prayers of the Faithful – October 19 & 20, 2024

Presider:

As followers of the suffering servant, we pray humbly for ourselves, for one another, and for our brothers and sisters throughout the world.

Lector:

  • For the Church, that she may continue to model servant leadership, following Christ’s example of humility and self-sacrifice, we pray to the Lord:
  • For world leaders, that they may work to promote peace, justice, and the well-being of all people, putting aside personal gain for the common good, we pray to the Lord:
  • For a deeper trust in God’s plan for our lives, that we may seek His wisdom and strength in times of difficulty, we pray to the Lord:
  • For our parish community, that we may embody Christ’s call to serve others with humility and generosity, especially through our support of those in need, we pray to the Lord:
  • For those who are ill and have asked for our prayers, including Jonathon Ordahl, Marv Burns, John Czech, Paul Zierdan, Donna Kuhn and Diane Sparrow. May all who suffer be healed by God’s loving touch and by the prayers of this community, we pray to the Lord:
  • For those who have died, especially Mabel Walkowiak, Valeria Haselhuhn, and Catherine Baily, that they may rest in the eternal peace of Christ, we pray to the Lord:

Presider:

Gracious and loving God, hear the prayers of your people. Strengthen us in our faith and help us to follow your Son’s example of service and love. We ask this through Christ, our Lord. AMEN
