Prayers of the Faithful – April 5 & 6, 2025
As we approach the final weeks of Lent, let us bring our prayers before the God of compassion and mercy.
Lector:
- That the Church may always reflect Christ’s mercy and offer hope to those weighed down by sin or shame, we pray to the Lord:
- That leaders of nations may seek justice through compassion, and never use the law to condemn unjustly, we pray to the Lord:
- That all who feel trapped by guilt, judgment, or fear may encounter the freeing love of Christ, we pray to the Lord:
- For our RCIA candidates and catechumens, that they may be strengthened in faith as they prepare to be received into the Church, we pray to the Lord:
- For our parish community, that we may lay down the “stones” we carry and live as people of mercy and forgiveness, we pray to the Lord:
- For those who are ill and have asked for our prayers, including: Steve Beckman, Julie Smith, Duane Busch, andStephanie Schneiderman, that all who suffer be healed by God’s loving touch and by the prayers of this community, we pray to the Lord:
- For those who have died, especially Joseph Andreszuk; that they may rejoice forever in the presence of the Lord, we pray to the Lord:
Presider:
Merciful God, you see beyond our failures and call us into new life. Hear these prayers and help us to walk more closely in the way of your Son, Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.
