Prayers of the Faithful for June 11 & 12, 2022
Presider:
In confidence, we pray for our needs to the Triune God who chooses to share divine life with us.
Lector:
- For the Church: that we may experience the length, breadth, and depth of God’s love that has been poured out into our hearts so that we may be transformed and fully live as children of God, we pray:
- For a deeper appreciation of the gift of nature: that we may see in the heavens, on the earth, and in the sea the handiwork of God and delight in God’s gifts to us, we pray:
- For leaders of religion, government, and communities: that the Spirit will inspire them with ways to resolve the issues of injustice, firearms, and immigration so that all may live in peace and safety, we pray:
- For all who have been touched by violence: that God will give eternal life to all who have died by violence recently and console those who are grieving their passing, we pray:
- For all who participate in this faith community: that the Trinity will inspire us to work for the common good, encourage and accept one another, and make room for the gifts of one another, we pray:
- For those who are ill and have asked for our prayers Vernon Yetzer and Lawrence Dobias, grandfather of Rebecca Dobias; may they find comfort in the healing touch of God and by the loving care of family and friends, we pray:
- For all who mourn the death of a loved one; may all who have died be forever held in the loving arms of God, we pray:
Presider:
Gracious God, pour the Spirit of love into our hearts that we may be united to Christ and to each other in the bond of peace. We pray through our Lord, Jesus Christ. Amen
