Prayers of the Faithful for April 30/May 1, 2022
Presider:
Confident that God provides for all our needs, we lift up our prayers to the Lord.
Lector:
- For the Church: that empowered by the Holy Spirit, we may give convincing witness to the freeing and healing power of the Risen Christ, we pray:
- For greater discipleship: that we may not be limited by past failures but be open to God’s new invitations and rely upon God to bring to fulfillment the mission entrusted to us, we pray:
- For the newly initiated members of our community with whom we celebrated at the Easter Vigil: that they may grow in their faith and their awareness of God’s love for them, we pray:
- For those mourning the death of murder-victim Lily Peters of Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin: that God will welcome her soul and grant peace and healing to all those impacted by this tragedy, we pray:
- We pray in fond memory of Fr. Jim Gorman as we hold the silent auction of the art pieces that he and his family so generously donated to this faith community, we pray:
- That those who are ill feel Jesus’ healing touch in the loving hands of their caregivers, including Julian Smischney, and Sandy Hartung. we pray:
- For those who have died, especially Kayo Silvernale, and Donald Craft; that God will comfort those mourning their passing, we pray:

Gracious God, you sustain us in life and provide us with everything we need. Help us to trust in your loving care. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.
