Prayers of the Faithful – March 26 & 27, 2022
Aware of God’s mercy and forgiveness, let us pray with confidence to our loving Father.
Lector:
- For the Church: that we may be ambassadors of Christ, bringing God’s message of compassion, mercy, and salvation to all who are wounded or alienated, we pray:
- For Trejean Curry, the person recently charged with a crime for the incident that took the life of Fr. Denny, that through this tragedy both Trejean as well as our entire faith community may come to know the limitless mercy and forgiveness of God, we pray:
- That we, along with those preparing to receive the Easter sacraments, may open our hearts to God and acknowledge Christ as the source of reconciliation; we pray:
- For all refugees, including those from Ukraine as well as those at our own borders, that they may find support and a welcoming spirit in the communities they join, we pray:
- That, filled with the Holy Spirit, we may never fail to be ambassadors for Christ; we pray:
- That each of us be agents of reconciliation in our families, among our friends, and in our places of work, we pray:
- We pray for those who are ill and have asked for our prayers, including Peg Fink, Diane Johnson, and Elle Muchow, granddaughter of Darlene and David Ivy …we pray:
- For our Beloved Dead, including Kathleen Graca, Helaine Powell, Marge Donofrio, Gerri Migletz, Richard Haberman, and Sue Flynn, as well as those who have died more recently; that all who have died find joy in the resurrection…we pray:
Presider:
Merciful God, you forgive sinners who repent and welcome them back to your loving embrace. Hear these prayers that we might one day be with you forever at your everlasting feast. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.
