Prayers of the Faithful – April 27 & 28, 2024

Presider:

May we who are branches on the vine of Christ raise our voices in prayer for our beloved families, friends, and neighbors and for all people across the world.

Reader:

  • For the Church: that it may remain firmly rooted in Christ, the true vine, and may all members be united in love and purpose, bearing fruit that nourishes and sustains the world, we pray:
  • For unity: that all Christians strive to overcome division and work together as branches connected to the same vine, bearing witness to the love of Christ in the world, we pray:
  • For all who are experiencing loss, transition, or change: that God will give them strength, guide them, and help them find courage, support, and hope through fellow believers, we pray:
  • For the children of our community who are celebrating First Eucharist this week, may they come to be part of the vine that bears good fruit, and may we as a community continue to nourish their faith, we pray:
  • For the sick and suffering in our community, including: Keith Froelich and Gerald Frank.  For all who suffer, we pray to the Lord:
  • Today we pray for our Beloved Dead, including John Keenan, Paul Neubert, Patricia Haggerty, Larry Simmons, and Donald Van Dale. We also pray for those who have died, more recently, especially Michael Leary and Kathleen Chan (pr. KAHN)May they find comfort in God’s love, we pray to the Lord:
