Prayers of the Faithful – December 7 & 8, 2024
Presider:
As we continue our Advent journey, let us call upon God with hope and trust, presenting our prayers for the Church, the world, and all in need.
Lector:
- For the Church, that we may prepare the way of the Lord by proclaiming His love, mercy, and justice to a world in need, we pray:
- For leaders of nations, that they may govern with integrity and work tirelessly to create peace and equality for all people, we pray:
- For those who feel lost, discouraged, or burdened, that they may find hope and renewal through the light of Christ’s coming, we pray:
- For our community, that we may grow in faith and joy as we prepare our hearts and homes to welcome Christ this Christmas, we pray, we pray:
- For those who are ill and have asked for our prayers. May all who suffer be healed by God’s loving touch and by the prayers of this community, we pray:
- For those who have died, that they may rejoice forever in the presence of the Lord, and for all who mourn, that they may find peace and hope in the promise of Christ’s coming, we pray:
Presider:
Loving God, hear the prayers we bring before You as we prepare the way of the Lord. Strengthen our hearts with Your grace and guide us in hope and peace. We ask this through Christ, our Lord. Amen.
