Prayers of the Faithful – February 28 & March 1, 2026

Presider:

Trusting in the God who calls us beyond fear and into promise, we bring our needs before the Lord.

Reader:

  • For the Church, that we may reflect the light of Christ in a world searching for hope and direction, Let us pray to the Lord.
  • For leaders of nations, that they may act with courage and integrity, seeking justice, wisdom, and peace for all people, Let us pray to the Lord.
  • For those who, like Abram, have left their homeland seeking promise — especially immigrants in our own community — that they may find security, dignity, and renewed trust, Let us pray to the Lord.
  • For those who feel unsure about their future — the unemployed, the anxious, the young discerning their path — that God’s promise may steady their hearts, Let us pray to the Lord.
  • For all the descendants of Abraham: that Jews, Muslims, and Christians will honor all that we share in common and work together to overcome all evil in our world, we pray, Let us pray to the Lord.
  • For those who are ill and have asked for our prayers, especially: Mike and Theresa Bergwall, Rich and Mary Ehalt, Althea Bardon, Andrew Leair, Roy Tangeman and Matthew Heywood. May they find comfort in the healing touch of God and by the loving care of family and friends, Let us pray to the Lord.
  • For those who have died, especially Steve Tiongson; that all who have died find joy in the resurrection… Let us pray to the Lord.

Presider:

God of promise, you call us to step forward in trust even when the path is unclear. Strengthen all who live with uncertainty, restore hope where fear has taken root, and lead us into the security of your faithful love. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
