Prayers of the Faithful – February 7 & 8, 2026

Presider:

Sisters and brothers, called to be salt of the earth and light of the world, we bring our prayers before God, trusting not in our own strength, but in the power of God’s Spirit at work among us.

Reader:

  • For the Church, that we may shine with the light of Christ through humility, integrity, and care for those most in need, Let us pray to the Lord.
  • For world leaders and all in positions of authority, that their decisions may reflect justice, mercy, and a sincere concern for the vulnerable, Let us pray to the Lord.
  • For those who hunger for food, shelter, dignity, or safety, and for communities burdened by oppression or injustice, that God’s healing light may rise for them through compassionate action, Let us pray to the Lord.
  • For those who feel weak, afraid, or discouraged, that they may find strength not in human wisdom but in the quiet power of God’s presence, Let us pray to the Lord.
  • For our parish community, that our good works may never seek attention, but always give glory to God and bring hope to others, Let us pray to the Lord.
  • For those who are ill and have asked for our prayers, especially: Mike and Theresa Bergwall, Pamela Windfield and Althea Bardon. May they find comfort in the healing touch of God and by the loving care of family and friends, let us pray to the Lord.
  • For those who have died, may they be forever held in the loving arms of God. Let us pray to the Lord.

Presider:

God of light and life, hear the prayers we offer in faith. Make us instruments of your mercy and truth, so that your light may rise through us and your name be glorified. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.
