Prayers of the Faithful – February 8 & 9, 2025
Presider:
With trust in God, who calls and strengthens us for His work, we bring our prayers before Him
Lector:
- For the Church, that we may recognize God’s call in our lives and respond with faith, courage, and humility. Let us pray to the Lord:
- or all who preach and proclaim the Gospel, that they may be strengthened in their mission to bring Christ’s light to the world. Let us pray to the Lord:
- For those who feel unworthy or inadequate, that they may find confidence in God’s grace and embrace His call with trust. Let us pray to the Lord:
- For an increase in vocations to the priesthood, diaconate, and religious life, that more men and women may answer God’s invitation to serve. Let us pray to the Lord:
- For those who suffer from illness, poverty, or despair, that they may experience the healing and hope that come from God’s love. Let us pray to the Lord:
- For those who are ill and have asked for our prayers, including Robert Sargent, Fred Crawford, and Joseph Andrezak, that all who suffer be healed by God’s loving touch and by the prayers of this community, we pray to the Lord:
- For those who have died, that they may rejoice forever in the presence of the Lord, we pray to the Lord:
Presider:
Loving and merciful God, You call us to be Your disciples despite our weaknesses. Hear our prayers and give us the grace to follow You faithfully. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.
