Prayers of the Faithful for February 25 & 26, 2017

Presider:

Let us pray now for our own concerns and the concerns of the whole world:

Reader:

For all Christians: that we may be good stewards of the Gospel message and bring the light of Christ to all who are caught in darkness, we pray:

For the grace to rest in God: that we may surrender our burdens and anxieties to Christ and find refreshment of mind, body and spirit in God’s providence, we pray:

For all who feel abandoned, that they may experience God with them and be strengthened through the love and care of the Christian community, we pray:

For freedom from judgments: that we may surrender all situations to God’s judgments and use our energy in serving and encouraging others along the path of life, we pray:

For all who are working for peace, particularly those in the Asia, Africa, and the Middle East: that God will guide their efforts and bring forth new structures and policies through their efforts to end violence, we pray:

For those who are ill and have asked for our prayers, including, Douglas Solberg and Diane Sparrow. May they experience God’s healing touch, we pray:

For those who have died and those grieving the loss of a loved one, especially, Marvene Balli. May they be held in the loving arms of God, we pray:

Presider:

God who knows our needs, we are called to remember that you love and care for us. Help us to love you, to seek your Kingdom, and live the Gospel without fear. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.
