Prayers of the Faithful for June 10 & 11, 2017

Presider:  

In confidence we pray for our needs to the Triune God who chooses to share divine life with us.

Lector:

For unity in the Church: that we may recognize our call to be children of God, be united in communion through the Holy Spirit and encourage one another as we follow God’s call in our lives, we pray:

For unity in our world: that God will bring new courage to leaders of nations in working for peace and ending injustice, we pray:

For unity in our community: that we may appreciate the wonder of each person and work together to address the needs and longings of all who enter our lives, we pray:

For unity in our families: that the love which is the Trinity may strengthen and renew each of us and deepen our love for one another, we pray:

For unity with God in each of our hearts: for openness to God’s love; that we may allow God to bring us into the life of the Trinity and to deepen a relationship with us, we pray:

For those who are ill and have asked for our prayers including George Jones, Kathy Chan. May they find comfort in the healing touch of God and by the loving care of family and friends, we pray:

For all who mourn the death of a loved one especially Helen Hayes, the sister in law of Kathy Fastner, and Lois Benoit. May all who have died be forever held in the loving arms of God, we pray:

Presider:

Gracious God, pour the Spirit of love into our hearts that we may be united to Christ and to each other in the bond of peace. May our prayers be acceptable to you in the name of your only Son, our Redeemer, Jesus Christ. Amen
