Prayers of the Faithful for March 21 & 22, 2020
Presider:
Let us pray now for ourselves and for all who need to be seen with God’s eyes.
Lector:
- For the Church: that we may open our hearts to God and acknowledge Jesus as the source of light and the witness of truth, we pray:
- For all who suffer from spiritual blindness: that the living Word of God may dissipate their blindness and enable them to see God’s love for them and recognize God’s action in the world, we pray:
- For our RCIA Candidates who are preparing for the Easter Sacraments of Confirmation and Eucharist; for all Catechumens and Candidates everywhere, we pray:
- For civic leaders, medical personnel and others coordinating a response to the coronavirus, may God give them wisdom and strength, we pray:
- For those infected with or recovering from the coronavirus, may Jesus, the Divine Physician, offer them hope and healing, we pray:
- For those who are ill and have asked for our prayers, including, Cheri Henderson, Delores Swanson, Ward Kierski, may they be touched by the healing hand of Jesus, we pray:
- For those who have died, especially, Mary Elizabeth Hebert, the mother of Gail Danielski; that God will welcome them into the fullness of light and life for all eternity, we pray:
Presider:
Merciful God, you desire to heal our inability to see with eyes of faith. Hear our prayers and bring us to the fullness of life. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.
