Prayers of the Faithful for March 28 & 29, 2020
Presider:
We now raise our prayers to God, who offers us resurrection and life.
Reader:
- For the Church: that God will transform our fears into hope, selfishness into love, and deaths into new life, we pray to the Lord:
- For growth as disciples: like Mary, may we place ourselves at the feet of Jesus to learn and understand the gift Jesus alone offers, we pray to the Lord:
- For a spirit of compassion: that God’s love will guide us as we walk with all who have experienced loss, especially those affected by the coronavirus outbreak, and wait with them in their pain as they hope for healing, we pray to the Lord:
- For all who work in healthcare: that God will give wisdom to those working to contain the virus, insight to those searching for treatments or a vaccine, and strength to those caring for the sick, we pray to the Lord:
- For a growth in Hope: that God will instill in our hearts a trusting reliance that God is always with us in difficult times and always has more life to offer us, we pray to the Lord:
- For those who are ill and have asked for our prayers, including, Dolores Swanson and Ward Kierski, may they be touched by the healing hand of Jesus, we pray to the Lord:
- For those who have died, especially, Conrad Galles, the husband of Jean Galles; and Jim Haverman. That God will welcome them into the fullness of life for all eternity, we pray to the Lord:

God of life, hear our prayers that one day we might be raised to the fullness of life with you. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.
