Prayers of the Faithful for November 10 & 11, 2018

Presider:  

Knowing that we need God’s help to be true disciples, let us pray for strength and make our needs known.

Lector:

For all members of the church, that we generously give of ourselves to God and others wholeheartedly, we pray:

For newly elected leaders, may they serve those they govern with integrity and authentic self-giving, we pray:

For the current mission trip to our sister parish in Haiti, may those who have traveled to Gri-Gris fruitfully give of their time and talent in service to those in need, we pray:

For the victims of the shooting in Thousand Oaks, California this week, may they find healing and peace through God’s loving care, we pray:

As we commemorate the 100th anniversary of Veteran’s Day, let us remember those who have died in the service of our country and may we continue to support those veterans who need assistance with healthcare and employment, we pray:

For those who are ill and have asked for our prayers, including, Jacob LaMott. May all who suffer be healed by God’s loving touch and by the prayers of this community, we pray:

For those who have died, especially, Edida Sano, and for those who mourn the death of a loved one. May they be comforted by God’s unending love, we pray:

Just and compassionate God, you show us that living authentically and generously is more important than achieving places of honor. Help us to give from the depths of our hearts and from our treasure. We ask this through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen
