Prayers of the Faithful – January 4 & 5, 2025

Presider:

As the Magi brought their gifts to the newborn King, let us offer our prayers to the Father, trusting in His mercy and love.

Reader:

  1. For the Church, that she may radiate the light of Christ and guide all people to the joy of salvation, let us pray to the Lord:
  • For the leaders of nations, that they may seek wisdom and work for justice and peace, especially for those most in need, let us pray to the Lord:
  • For those who feel lost or far from God, that they may encounter His love and be drawn into the light of His presence, let us pray to the Lord:
  • For our parish community, that we may generously share our gifts and be a sign of Christ’s light to others, let us pray to the Lord.:
  • For those impacted by the recent attack in New Orleans, especially for the injured and the families of those who were killed, that they may find healing, comfort, and strength in their time of sorrow, let us pray to the Lord:
  • For those who are ill and have asked for our prayers, including Joann Krause (pr. krau-see), Mike McShane, Chad Lyon and Andrea Prahl, that all who suffer be healed by God’s loving touch and by the prayers of this community, we pray to the Lord:
  • For those who have died, especially Pat McInnis, Bob McInnis, and Ron Brixius, husband of Joanne Brixius, that they may rejoice forever in the presence of the Lord, and for all who mourn, that they may find peace and hope in the promise of Christ’s coming, we pray to the Lord:

Presider:

Loving Creator, You revealed Your Son to the Magi as the Savior of the world. Hear our prayers and help us to follow His light, that we may come to dwell in Your eternal presence. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
