Prayers of the Faithful – July 25 & 26, 2026
Presider:
Trusting that God hears the prayers of those who seek the riches of his kingdom, we now bring our needs before our Creator.
Lector:
• For the Church throughout the world: that we may treasure the Gospel above all earthly riches and faithfully proclaim Christ to every nation, we pray to the Lord:
• For missionaries serving throughout the world, especially Fr. Steve LaCanne and the ministry of Cross Catholic Outreach: that God will strengthen their work of bringing hope, dignity, and the Good News to those living in poverty, and inspire generous hearts among us, we pray to the Lord:
• For world leaders: that, like Solomon, they may seek wisdom, justice, and compassion rather than power or personal gain, we pray to the Lord:
• For those burdened by poverty, hunger, war, or natural disaster: that they may experience God’s providence through the generosity and compassion of others, we pray to the Lord:
• For all who are working for justice: that God will help them to remind society of the truth about human dignity and inspire their words to unlock hearts and move people to action, we pray to the Lord:
• For those who are ill and have asked for our prayers, including: Terrance Knetter, Thomas Knetter, John Ramberg, Joyce Hauser, Scarlet Kunkel, and William Klaus; that all who suffer be healed by God’s loving touch and by the prayers of this community, we pray to the Lord.
• Today we pray for our Beloved Dead, including Martin Muetzel, Diane Dwyer, Mary Ann Day, Sandra Jasnoch, and Joseph Minnick. We also pray for those who have died more recently, especially Diane McKiernan, sister of Christine Parker; that they may rejoice forever in the presence of the Lord, we pray to the Lord.
Presider:
Merciful God, you reveal the incomparable treasure of your kingdom to those who seek you with sincere hearts. Hear these prayers and grant them according to your loving will, through Christ our Lord. AMEN
