Prayers of the Faithful – July 27 & 28, 2024
Presider:
As we gather in faith, trusting in God’s abundant generosity and care, let us bring our prayers and petitions before our loving Father, who provides for all our needs.
Lector:
- For the Church, that it may always be a beacon of God’s love and generosity, guiding the faithful to live in humility, patience, and unity. Let us pray to the Lord:
- For world leaders, that they may govern with wisdom and compassion, ensuring that the needs of all people, especially the poor and vulnerable, are met with justice and care. Let us pray to the Lord:
- For those who are hungry and in need, that they may experience God’s providence through the generosity of others, and that we may be moved to share our blessings abundantly. Let us pray to the Lord:
- For our parish community, that we may grow in unity and love, supporting one another with humility and patience, and reflecting God’s care in our daily lives. Let us pray to the Lord:
- For care and protection of the environment that provides food for the whole world, we pray:
- For the sick and suffering in our community; for all who suffer, we pray to the Lord:
- Today we pray for Our Beloved Dead, including Don Atkinson, Romualdo Holgado, Peg Fink, Joan McGowan, and Cathy Pike. We also pray for those who have died more recently, especially Eloy Saucedo Gonzalez. That God may welcome them to new eternal life and ease the loss of those who grieve their passing, we pray to the Lord:

Heavenly Father, in Your generosity, You provide for all our needs and sustain us in our moments of weakness. Hear the prayers we bring before You today and grant them according to Your holy will. We ask this through Christ our Lord. AMEN
