Prayers of the Faithful                              June 12 & 13, 2021

Presider:

In a spirit of faith and hope, we lift up our prayers for those we love and for the whole world.

Reader:

  • That the seed of faith planted in the heart of each believer may grow into a bountiful manifestation of God’s reign in the world, we pray:
  • That crops planted this season will give a bountiful harvest so that all may be nourished and sustained by God’s gifts, we pray:
  • That the efforts of those who serve the poor and oppressed may reap an abundant harvest of compassion and justice, we pray:
  • That we will be open to the growth that takes place in our lives and that we find the strength to continue faithfully to respond to God’s invitations, we pray:
  • For the tender shoots in our midst: that God will give abundant growth for the young, to those new to the faith, and those beginning their ministry and guide them to maturity of faith and service, we pray:
  • That those who are ill and have asked for our prayers, including Carol Stramowski and Thomas Diger, may find comfort in the healing touch of God and by the loving care of family and friends, we pray:
  • That those who have died may be forever held in the loving arms of God, we pray:

Presider:

Accept these prayers, O God, and, with the faith of the mustard seed, may our smallest acts of kindness and justice bring your kingdom to reality in our own time and place. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen
