Prayers of the Faithful June 29 & 30, 2024
Presider:
As we gather in the presence of our loving God, let us offer our prayers and petitions with confidence, knowing that He hears and answers us in our needs.
Lector:
- For the Church: That she may continue to be a beacon of God’s life-giving power, proclaiming the Gospel with compassion and faith., we pray to the Lord:
- For world leaders: That they may govern with wisdom and a commitment to justice, promoting peace and equality for all, we pray to the Lord:
- For those who are suffering from illness or hardship: That they may experience the healing touch of Jesus and find comfort in their faith, we pray to the Lord
- For the people affected by historic flooding: that they may find strength, comfort, and support in this difficult time, and that communities may come together to provide aid and relief, we pray to the Lord:
- For the sick and suffering in our community, including: Don Kuhl, Laura Krause, Joyce Hauser, and Lori Burns. For all who suffer, we pray to the Lord:
- For those who have died, that God may welcome them to new eternal life and ease the loss of those who grieve their passing, we pray to the Lord:
Presider:
Heavenly Father, we thank You for hearing our prayers. Help us to trust in Your providence and to live out Your love in our daily lives. We ask this through Christ our Lord. AMEN
