Prayers of the Faithful – March 7th and 8th, 2026

Presider:

Trusting in Christ, the source of living water who calls all people into the fullness of life through the Sacraments of Initiation, we bring our prayers before God.

Reader:

  • For the Church: that we may faithfully accompany the Elect and all who seek Christ, offering encouragement, welcome, and witness as they prepare for the Sacraments of Initiation at the Easter Vigil, let us pray to the Lord.
  • For the Elect of our parish and throughout the world: that through the Scrutinies of Lent their hearts may be strengthened, their spirits purified, and their longing for Christ deepened, let us pray to the Lord.
  • For leaders of nations and all who work for peace: that God may soften hardened hearts, guide them toward justice and reconciliation, and bring relief to those suffering from war and violence, let us pray to the Lord.
  • For all who thirst for hope, healing, or belonging—especially those burdened by loneliness, doubt, or hardship—that they may encounter Christ, the living water who renews and restores, let us pray to the Lord.
  • For our parish community: that this Lenten season may open our hearts more deeply to conversion, drawing us closer to Christ and to one another, let us pray to the Lord.
  • For those who are ill and have asked for our prayers, especially: John Wilhelm, Rich and Mary Ehalt, and Roy Tangeman. May they find comfort in the healing touch of God and by the loving care of family and friends,Let us pray to the Lord.
  • For those who have died, that all who have died find joy in the resurrection… Let us pray to the Lord.
