Prayers of the Faithful November 5 & 6, 2022
Presider:
We are called to live in the light of the resurrection, and so we pray to God who
faithfully hears and answers our prayers.
Lector:
- For the Church: that we may offer faithful witness to God’s abiding care for us and always live as the Children of God, we pray: (sung response)
- For the grace of sacrificial love: that we may be open to all the ways God calls us to lay down our lives in witness to the truth and in loving service of others, we pray:
- For those who contributed through prayer and donations to Risen Savior’s Winter Gear Drive and for those who will be the recipients of the donations, that they may all feel God’s warm embrace in the cold of winter and know of our care for one another, we pray:
- For all veterans: that they may know God’s presence in their hearts, be healed of trauma and painful memories, and be blessed with health and well-being, we pray:
- For those who are ill and have asked for our prayers including, Marna Keenan and Jim Dwyer. May they find comfort in God’s love and from the care of their family and friends, we pray:
- For those who have died. May all who have died be forever held in the loving arms of God, we pray:
Presider:
God of everlasting life: keep us hopeful in what lies beyond, while we struggle to live life fully each and every day. Help us to be people of faith and hope, who encourage those who have lost hope. We ask this through Jesus Christ our Lord.
