Prayers of the Faithful – November 8 & 9, 2025
Presider:
As living stones in God’s holy temple, we lift our hearts in prayer for the Church and for all the world, trusting that the Lord who dwells among us will hear our needs.
Lector:
- For the Church, always reflect God’s presence—radiant with faith, welcoming to all, and steadfast in love.. We pray to the Lord.
- For our world and its leaders, that justice, peace, and respect for human dignity may prevail, especially in places torn by conflict. We pray to the Lord.
- For those preparing for Confirmation, especially our candidates participating in the Rite of Acceptance and Welcome this weekend, that the Holy Spirit may strengthen them in faith and discipleship. We pray to the Lord.
- For all veterans, that they may feel God’s comforting presence, find healing from trauma and painful memories, and be blessed with lasting health and peace. We pray to the Lord.
- For those who are ill and have asked for our prayers, especially Laurie Mosier, Shirley Selisker, Mary Weldon, Declan Graphenteen, Glo Wellik, and Amanda, Nathan, Samantha, Randy and Micah Hufnagle. May they find comfort in the healing touch of God and by the loving care of family and friends. We pray to the Lord.
- For those who have died, especially Julie Moening, that they may rejoice forever in God’s eternal home. We pray to the Lord.
Presider:
God of glory and holiness, you make your dwelling among your people and call us to be your living temple. Hear the prayers we offer in faith, and strengthen us to reflect your presence in all we do. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
