Prayers of the Faithful – October 4 & 5, 2025

Presider:

In every age, God’s people have cried out in the face of struggle and uncertainty. Today we lift our prayers with faith and hope, trusting that God’s love has the power to heal and unite our world.

Lector:

  • For the Church: that we may remain strong in faith and humble in service. We pray to the Lord:
  • For leaders of nations: that they may reject violence and division, and work for peace and justice. We pray to the Lord:
  • For all who feel burdened by fear, doubt, or isolation: that God’s Spirit bring them strength and hope. We pray to the Lord:
  • For our parish community: that even the smallest acts of faith may bear fruit in unity and love. We pray to the Lord:
  • For those impacted by the increase in severe weather during this active hurricane season: that God protect the most vulnerable and inspire us to heal the damage to creation that fuels these storms. We pray to the Lord:
  • For those who are ill and have asked for our prayers, especially Nancy Shellum, Laurie Mosier and Linda Wray. May they find comfort in the healing touch of God and by the loving care of family and friends. We pray to the Lord:
  • For those who have died, especially Hannah Kocher, Earhardt Schultz, and William Schmid, that they may rejoice forever in God’s eternal home. We pray to the Lord:

Presider:

God of hope and mercy, hear the prayers of your people. Strengthen our faith, guide us in your ways, and unite us in your love. Through Christ our Lord. Amen
