Prayers of the Faithful: Palm Sunday –April 12 & 13, 2025
Presider:
As we recall the Passion of our Lord, we turn to God with trust and humility, lifting up the needs of the Church and the world.
Lector:
- For the Church, as she enters this Holy Week, may remain faithful in proclaiming Christ crucified and risen…We pray to the Lord.
- For peace in every nation, especially where violence and injustice reign—may leaders act with humility and courage… We pray to the Lord.
- For all who suffer: the lonely, the imprisoned, and those betrayed or abandoned—may they be comforted by Christ’s Passion… We pray to the Lord.
- For those preparing to enter the Church at Easter, may they be strengthened by Christ’s love poured out for them… We pray to the Lord.
- For those who are ill and have asked for our prayers, including: Steve Beckman, Duane Busch, andStephanie Schneiderman,that all who suffer be healed by God’s loving touch and by the prayers of this community, we pray to the Lord:
- For those who have died, that they may rejoice forever in the presence of the Lord, we pray to the Lord:
Presider:
Merciful God, in your Son’s suffering and death you have shown us the depth of your love. Hear our prayers and help us follow Christ faithfully, through the cross to the glory of the resurrection. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
